Partial sun to full shade. Prefers moist soil.

Common in moist sites around Maroondah, the Shire of Yarra Ranges and Manningham

Excellent plant for a moist shaded site.  Very useful plant for streamside erosion control. Can cut back after flowering to promote new growth. Bird seed and caterpillar foliage provider.
